Kodak DX4900: A Great High Resolution Camera
Kodak Digital has made it easy for many photography enthusiasts to indulge in their hobby. If anything, it knows a few things about what it takes to make its cameras affordable, accessible and easy to use. At the same time, it tends to meet the needs of more sophisticated users. It has a wide range of cameras that will appeal the beginners, the intermediate users and the globe-trotting professional photographers. Depending on what types of features you are looking for, you can choose among very good Kodak cameras. Its digital brands have already conquered the hearts of many users all over the world. Despite some minor shortcomings found in some of the cameras, I am still a huge Kodak user. From a 3.1 MP, I have long upgraded to a 4 MP Kodak camera. If anything, as a consumer, you should always buy some type of warranty. In case you get dissatisfied with one, you can always upgrade to a better one.
A great value in DX4900 Kodak digital Camera
By now, you have already known why you are on the market. Depending on what you intend to do, you will want to purchase a camera with the right amount of pixels, resolution and digital zoom. Kodak has brought this camera to the market to satisfy a select group of users like you who want to upgrade due to new needs. You may have realized that the cameras with the lower resolution don't meet your family and work needs. With the DX4900, you will have access to the CompactFlash memory card expansion and Kodak advanced color technology. Then, it's going to be up to you whether you want to purchase the EasyShare dock for one touch picture transfer. Just keep in mind that this equipment is sold separately. If you choose to watch over your budget, you can use the cord that is in the package. You will be able to transfer your pictures to the computer with a few clicks.
What are this camera's competitors?
There is no doubt that at the level of 4 megapixel digital cameras, you will find many good, reliable ones that will meet your needs. Few of them will be able to equal the brand recognition of Kodak coupled with its easy-to-use Kodak Picture Transfer Software. Minolta Dimage 4 Megapixel Compact Digital camera and Canon 4 MP Digital Camera are two of the cameras that come to mind. Each one of them has its qualities that may attract you. In my mind, Kodak has the leg up for its durability, photo quality and ease. What's more is that Kodak even equips the DX4900 with its prized advanced color technology. This way, you will have access to a wide spectrum of colors that will better capture the various settings you may find yourself in. That's what I found out when I went to a few orchards and vineyards to take pictures of produce. Besides the touch up I did on the computer, the pictures were almost perfect. The cropping, trimming and enhancements I had to work on were very minimal with this camera.
What else to say about this camera?
The only thing I found out about it is that it sucked the juice out of the batteries. The most amount of pictures I have ever taken with it were 30. I could not do anything else when the camera's on-light started blinking. I knew it was low on power. I just went back home and placed on the dock to recharge and transfer these pictures. If you are planning on going on vacation or travel far from home, don't forget to take a charger or the camera dock with you. Otherwise, you will be stuck. You will not be able to take the snapshots of your life.
You can rely on Kodak Advanced technology for your photography
Your digital images will have the quality that you always want in your pictures once you use this camera. I have been pleased with the output so far. If you want to purchase it, you won't regret it.
